I am Katja, Health Coach, Yoga Teacher and Happy Human.
On my website you will find informations and tips about healthy eating, healthy weight loss, sustainable living, fitness and happiness.
If you would like to know a little bit more about me… here a few words about my person.
I have been calling Berlin my home for almost 15 years. I went to school here and successfully completed my university degree in Mathematics and Economics at Freie Universität Berlin. While studying, I gained my first professional experience in the field of IT Project Management and remained dedicated to it. In my more than five years as a successful Agile Product & Project Manager in a large Software Company, I have successfully implemented cross-departmental, revenue-relevant projects on time, and was a trusted partner, valued team player and mentor for my colleagues. I discovered my passion for coaching when I started working as a mentor and business coach for startups in the company’s internal incubator program. I love to share my methodical knowledge and practical experience with others and enable them to achieve their goals.
I have noticed for myself that I am personally dissatisfied just to do duty by the book. That’s why I’m always trying to evolve and that works best when I take my life into my own hands and determine my own direction. Whether it’s to be more successful at work or to overcome private obstacles, you’re in charge.
That’s why I made the decision to take the next step and combine my knowledge and experience from the IT environment with my passion for business coaching and a good work-life balance. Therefore I completed a 6 month training to become a certified Health Coach and another training to become a Yoga Teacher.
On my blog I would like to share my thoughts and experiences with other people and support you in living the life you always wanted to live. By this I don’t mean that you should make your hobby your profession and then be happy. It’s more about your attitude to things and a balanced active lifestyle.
My Love: Food & Move
Since I was five years old, I’ve always done sports. Starting with a classical ballet education, I have remained committed to dance for a long time. However, I have noticed how my body suffers from it. My knees and feet are not what they used to be and I am not that old now. Since a few years I am a little bit more broadly positioned with the topic fitness I love to try new things. Currently I am doing Movement (something like gymnastics), Poledance, Bouldering and a lot of Yoga.
Besides sports I am fascinated by the human body and learn more about it every day. Anatomy, biomechanics, prevention and regeneration, metabolism and nutrition – are just a few of the topics I work on.
Oh yes, food! I love eating. Above all, healthy food. That’s why it’s all about food – healthy and sustainable food. I am very interested in nutrition and don’t stop learning new things. I recently completed a training as a Primal Health Coach. And no, I don’t want to persuade everyone to live Paleo/Primal, but simply share my knowledge and passion with you.
To sum up: I like to move, I like to eat, I like to laugh, I want to make the world a better place and never stop learning or trying new things.
That’s why I decided to work as a Health Coach and share my knowledge and passion with others to motivate and support.
It is important to me to surround myself with like-minded people and to motivate others to take their lives into their own hands.
